Krugsee
Open
Experience hiking with all your senses - a paradisiacal landscape with a tranquil mountain lake in the
Murtal adventure region.! A small bay in the south-east of the pitcher lake offers a paradise for grass frogs, whose lively activity can be observed. You should take the whole day for this hike to discover and enjoy all the natural spaces created!
This hike leads from the last car park in Hintertal for about 5km along the forest road to the Krugsee junction. Now we follow the marked hiking trail that leads over a steep step to the Krugsee. The idyllically situated mountain lake invites you to linger and enjoy. The way back is via the ascent route.

Knittelfeld - Gaal - Gaalgraben-Hintertal
The way there and back leads along the stream on the forest road for approx. 5km, still shady in the morning and sunny at midday, before the abbreviated ascent on an unmarked path.
The short ascent on an unmarked trail, with climbing tracks, leads into the alpine terrain to the pitcher's lake.
Especially on such a long tour, be sure to take enough to drink and a snack with you for refreshment. There are no refreshment stops on the tour.
We recommend taking enough sun protection with you in good weather. It is very fresh on the long forest path in the morning and there is no shade along the path at lunchtime.
