Kerstin & Jochen found their happiness in Hohentauern not so long ago and already look after a number of chalets and holiday flats from different owners as part of the cosy and homely Almdorfservice reception. They also look after the Geierkogel flat. The loving care is Kerstin and Jochen's top priority and is highly appreciated and praised by their guests. It is a nice feeling to know that you are cared for and it is exactly this feeling that guests should enjoy throughout their stay.

Hohentauern is situated at an altitude of 1,274 metres and, with just under 400 inhabitants, is the smallest community in Styria. Here, away from the hustle and bustle and the crowds, you are true to the resort's motto "a little closer to heaven". More than 20 two-thousand-metre peaks in the surrounding area provide a fantastic mountain panorama, which is your constant companion on the numerous hiking and cycling trails and during various winter activities.

If you would like to settle down to enjoy the scenery, make your way to the "7 heavenly places". However, Hohentauern has much more to offer than a breathtaking landscape. Numerous businesses in the village ensure that our holiday guests feel completely at home. The local associations ensure a lively community life and a varied calendar of events.
