More information

Murtalschnellstraße (S36) to Judenburg-West - drive into the center of Judenburg and at the second traffic circle turn right towards Oberweg to the parking lot Erlebnisschwimmbad Judenburg.
This great tour takes us from the Judenburg adventure swimming pool along an asphalt road to our destination on the Schmelz. At the parking lot, we keep to the left and ride comfortably past the trail trail along the stream through the housing estates in Oberweg. Now it's a very winding, steep ascent and we really gain altitude until we reach the unique vantage point in the Mur valley (former Reiterbauer inn and ski lift). After a short break, it's back uphill again and from the Sautratte parking lot, it's a more leisurely ride up to the Schmelz. If you want to add a few more meters of altitude, you can also take the MTB tour to the Hohe Ranach. On the left-hand side of the Schmelz parking lot is the Soldatenkirche church (great photo stop) as well as a public toilet and a few meters further downhill is the Schmelzhütte.
At the finish point, there is a nice photo stop at the Soldatenkirche on the Schmelz, before you can treat yourself to a good snack at the Schmelzhütte. After this great tour, you can refresh yourself in the adventure pool or explore the historic town of Judenburg.
Mit dem Zug der ÖBB zum Bahnhof Judenburg und mit dem Rad weiter zum Startpunkt in Oberweg.
